Do you trust an addict? Have you ever had a friend who was addicted to one of life's most troubling addictions, heroin or cocaine? Even if you haven't, then I'm sure that you will have heard stories about how you should never trust a junkie or else be prepared to have things stolen from you.

Now, of course, smokers are not that desperate as we have already discussed. Cigarettes are just affordable and also widely available. But many smokers are fooled by their addiction and will give bad advice or show strange behaviour to fellow smokers, especially those who want to stop.

When you stop smoking (that's "when", not "if"!) after reading this book, and you tell your smoker friends that you have stopped, I guarantee you that at least one of them will offer you a cigarette.

They will offer you a cigarette and then jokingly pretend that they had forgotten that you had stopped smoking. This happened to myself several times after stopping and it will happen to you as well! It has nothing to do with people forgetting that you had stopped smoking (how could they forget such a major event) and everything to do with addiction affecting behaviour. When your friends offer you cigarettes, their addictive-bent emotions are telling them that they have lost a fellow "addict friend" and they want you to rejoin the club.

This is all on a subconscious level. Maybe you don't believe me but, as I said, I guarantee that this will happen to you at least once.

Do not trust the quitting smoking advice of a smoker. Would you trust a skiing coach who could not even ski himself? Then why would you trust a smoker to advise you on the best way to quit? You can only trust someone who has stopped smoking to advise you on how to quit your addiction.

On the other hand, would you trust a former addict? Would you trust someone who used to be an addict but found a way out and looks like never going back to those dark days?

You have a choice - trust the addict and remain an addict for life or trust me and your addiction will become a thing of the past.

I’m always looking for ways to maximize my workout. I’ve discovered what works for me time wise isn’t the most efficient body-wise. A mid afternoon workout is my best scheduled time but it is in the morning that my body co-operates the best.

I’ve analyzed my routine and found that short bursts of aerobic exercise between weights gives me maximum benefits as well as breaking up the “sameness” of it all.

The biggest obstacle that I have been working on is keeping my energy level up throughout the entire workout. After all, what is a workout if it’s not working out?

 I’ve always had a healthy and hearty breakfast and followed fitness advice to drink plenty of fluids (16 – 20 oz) a couple of hours before my workout. However, I found that 30 minutes into the workout my energy level went way down. It wasn’t just tiredness either.
I even experimented with a little snack of fruit about 30 minutes before to keep my blood sugar levels up. This helped a little.

There are other types of review sites as well, such as a blanket review site that reviews all kinds of various products in one market.  For example, say you create a review site in the baby market, you may review products such as:

Baby Names
Getting a Baby to Sleep
Conquering Colic
Potty Training
Natural Baby Health
etc.

I have tried these types of review sites in a couple of different markets over the years, including internet marketing, but I personally did not have very good results with them.  They are more work than the one-page review method described above and I simply never saw any type of income worth talking about… maybe $50 - $100 per month, but when you can create a one-page review site that is pulling in $250, $500 a month, the extra work involved in a "blanket" style review site isn’t worth it for me.  If there are people reading this blog that have had better results, please share your experience with us.  If this method can be successful I’m sure we’d all love to hear about it!

Google, Google, Google that is all you ever seem to see on the Internet these days and there is a reason why. It has the largest directory of just about any and every site that can be found. Try it, go to a Google search and see if there is something you cannot find! That is a tongue twister, sorry. (wink)

Google homepage Malaysia is the search engine I use for everything. Forget about Yahoo! You have to pay for stuff with them while Google offers nearly everything for free. Want to build your own web site and don't have any money? Google will give it to you for free. You may not have noticed it yet, but if you look in the upper right corner of your Google homepage depending on your computer settings, it will say "iGoogle" and "sign in". It won't give one way links though, but that's pretty much the only limitation.

If you do not have an account, after clicking sign in you can register for a new account and then up where you signed in, click the "my account" button. From there you can set your profile up and at the bottom you should see a list of stuff to try. Want your own blogger account, get it there. Get webmaster tool, analytics, Gmail, sites, Picasa web photo album etc…

It basically has everything you could possibly need to either build your own web site, get in touch with other people with Talk (Google instant messenger) and even have online meetings with Google Docs… again it is all for free. I am a full on Googleholic! I get my news updates from CNN, weather alerts, Einstein quote of the day, Bible verse of the day, Things to ponder, current moon phases, a clock (lol) and Google translator. C'mon, I even get to customize the theme on my homepage. Right now I am using the "rainforest theme".

Besides Google being the top search engine on any web browser, it also makes making money on the internet easy. Sign up for Google Adsense. From everything thing that I have tried Adsense actually pays and then they give you suggestions on how to make your web site better and get more traffic which translates to more money. They offer so much that it is hard to turn away.

Now personally, Google if you are reading this sorry, I am loyal but there are some things I think could be better. Like Gmail. I don't really like Gmail and the instant messenger is weak because you can't use a webcam. Other than that it is definitely the best search engine in the world and I don't think I am exaggerating.

Working from home is becoming more and more fashionable. I work from home and I adore it. I don't think I could ever work at a salon again, but I must face the possibility that I may have to transfer my business into commercial premises if it keeps growing like it has in the last few years. Even if parts of my business get relocated, I'll try to stay at home myself as much as I can.

Times are changing and working from home, particularly for the self-employed or contract employees is becoming more common. It is pointless paying rent for business premises if it isn't necessary. Working from home has many pluses.

You can work back late without getting into strife with your family. You can "drop into the office" anytime you like. You can get up really early if the mood takes you and put in a few hours work then go back to bed. But as an accountant, there is one feature I really like, all the tax deductions!

You can claim some of your household running expenses on your tax return. Based on the floor area used for business purposes, you can claim a portion of your mortgage interest, insurance, rates, water, electricity, maintenance and the bulk of your telephone bill as well as depreciation on the carpets, curtains, computer equipment and so on. At the end of the financial year you will be surprised by the list of deductions.

You will also save on travel costs, wear and tear on your car and more importantly wear and tear on you, having not to deal with peak hour or public transport. Not to mention picking up approximately an extra one to two hours per day of work when you don't have to travel.

There is a downside to working from home. The first problem is family distractions. Kids home from school at three o'clock, a friend at the front door, phone calls for other members of the family.

You also may not have the perfect workspace, or space may be limited. Work space is vitally important, you must have an area set aside purely for business, nothing else, just business. I have found that it's best also if you can close the door on the weekends and at the end of the day so you can "leave work".

I think many of the attitudes of people that working from home is "unprofessional" have lapsed into history. The number of major companies that allow their workers to work from home via computers has increased dramatically in recent years. "Outsourcing" has become a commonly used term and this has brought about a spate of self-employed former employees, most of them working from home.

The other problem that many people working from home suffer is motivation and discipline. You must start work everyday just as you would if you were employed by someone else.
